Does anyone else think it's an outrage that you can't watch the Ashes any longer unless you subscribe to SKY sports..? The BBC gets billion s of OUR money, how come they didn't secure this  I rather enjoyed it last year... |

Here in Oz the Ashes series are on commercial TV.It begins about 7.30pm and goes on until the end of the day's play which is in the early hours of the next day here.
We can no longer view UK premier league football on free to air TV.The rights have been bought by a cable TV company.

As a cricket lover, I miss the B.B.C.'s coverage very much. I don't have Sky either. I have to watch Ceefax and listen to Test Match Special instead.
The good news is that England have just clinched the second test to go one up in the current Ashes series.

An Australian told me that the 1st test is usually at Lords, this is the one that we haven't won for 75 years - and still haven't.

Bob, the English won the 2nd test. What went wrong ?. Hallelujah,a new saviour has risen from the ashes at the Oval. The sight of "Saint" Freddy on his knees with arms wide reaching for heaven and waiting for all to kiss him after his fourth wicket makes me wonder if he can proceed any further up himself. The Aussies needed to let the Poms win one match otherwise they would have gone to the pub and sulked. Hwyl,Bob. |
