Tulips Mams Welsh Cakes..
Ingredients..
300gs plain flour..
half tsp of baking powder..
120g sugar..
1-8th tsp of salt..
170g of butter..
100g of sultanas..
2 eggs
60ml milk..
put in large bowl flour,baking powder,sugar and salt. Mix well.
Add butter blend in till the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
Add sultanas beaten eggs and milk, mix into dough.
Turn the dough onto lightly floured surface, roll out to about half cm thick..
Cut out with 6cm cutter or Tulip style with a cup or mug...
Heat non stick frying pan medium heat.
lightly grease pan with butter..
Place cakes on pan for 2-3 mins till golden brown then turn over to cook the other side.
You can then sprinkle on some sugar if you want, then serve warm with a
