Hi,

Any ideas here? My desktop PC, which is running on Windows Vista Home Premium, was working as normal till last night when it was shut down normally. This morning I switched on to find the log-n icons for me and the family users were there, but when you click on them no password field shows to enable logging in...

I have used F8 key on restart:

Restored the system to a couple of prior dates but with no change.

Tried 'repair your computer' options, no joy

Safe mode is the same - no password field

Tried 'last known good config' no change

Can't find much specific to this on the internet.

Anybody have any ideas before I chuck it off South Stack cliffs.. Huh

Blwdi Vista, if that didn't work I was going to suggest going back to XP or try Windows 7 (which is meant to be dead fast and good) - if I was brave enough I would go to Ubuntu (one day maybe).

Made up all's ok for you now  Smiley
