ANYWAY.   Still no 2.1 update.    Cod, you've rooted your Hero, I'm trying to skim some forums to see if it's worthwhile, but do you reckon it's viable?  I'm on a £25/month contract until March 2012 so I don't want to f**k it up and have an expensive lump of unuseable plastic for most of that time..........   The current Mrs Wils would not be happy.

Mine's technically a Vodafone G2, a Hero with a custom ROM.  I bought it of thebay and still had my old 'phone so wasn't overly concerned about "bricking" it.
Works fine for me, plus flash works on th'internet on it . . .

I just ordered a cheap phone from ebay that looks like one of them eyephone things but its less than £50 from china and I can put two sims in smart yea?

I don't really expect much to work on it but it'll do as a cheap work phone I can use for uk and foreign sim cards
