Title: The hunt for Mab Y Mynydd: A saga of epic proportion...Join in, everyone...
Post by: Reenie on Monday 03 April 2017, 1246
dotdotdot...tick tick tick...the telegraph wire was doing overtime down on North Stack.
The worried looking lookout was looking worried when he read the report that had just arrived, courtesy of a secret agent embedded within the social scene of the little town of Holyhead.

Son of the Mountain <stop> He Gone Ogof<stop> That's Holyhead for Gone Bush<stop> Nothing left for it<stop> Activate Mission Y Mynydd <stop> Don't stop <stop> until you drop<stop> Find him! <stop and tara>

If the Son of the Mynydd was missing, what did that mean for the punctuation of mankind? What could they do to ensure the grammar void did not grow and overwhelm the time space continuum, creating a parenthesis of .....he stopped mid-thought. Virtually slapped himself around the chops  and told himself to gerragrip.

There must be some way to find him, clean him up a bit because he might be smelly after being Ogof for so long,  and bring him home...

Yes I miss Mab, a very pleasant fellow ! maybe Porty knows where he is ? they used to meet for an occasional pint. I'll ask him when I see him next.

I think he might have gone off with Bolsyn. They might be sunning themselves on the Skerries.

Mab
You're fab
Apostrophe's excepted
Your brain is accepted
As being quite brainy
(well you're cleverever than LLainy)
And you're grammar is fine
(Almost like mine)
And you know lots of stuff
About the American gold rush
(I don't know if that's true
If it is, then I knew)
And your knowledge of Caergybi
Is not short or stubby
It's full of fine facts
That aren't Daily Facts
But good nonetheless
Anyhow I digress;
Wherever you are,
In a house or a bra
We all hope you visit
Nothing rhymes with visit
We all hope you drop by
Nothing rhymes with drop by either
We all hope you attend
As a long lost ally and friend
It could be quite nice
A panud and hiraeth
A talk about the Mountain
Holyhead's seven fountains
That are wells but wells doesn't rhyme with mountain
So wherever you are
In Glasgow or a bra
Just stay for a minute
And be Mab Y Mynydd

here's one I made earlier...

I wandered lonely as a seagull
that floats on pwll glas on the Mynydd
when all at once I saw a crowd
a herd of tourists around the iscream van
beside the wall
by the dandelions dancing in the breeze.

I amaze myself sometimes, and this one's been copied and adjusted tons of times since I wrote it in the early 1800's.

I amaze myself sometimes

You amaze me too, dol.

"I will be amazed," I think to myself, "if Reens gets even more rubbish."

I am constantly amazed.
