The Marquess of Anglesey's Column, in Llanfairpwll, was built in 1817 to memorialise the first Marquess's role in the Battle of Waterloo.

The artificial leg which replaced the one he lost at , Waterloo is on display at his former home nearby.

I know , I know, loosing a leg shows carelessness -- but remember Waterloo is a large station...
