That's exactly what happened last week, Jean. Have you been looking at pages 12-14 of the Thursday evening edition of the Peterborough Herald?

I hardly ever read anything else ...

If so I just want to make something clear: it wasn't me under the sink when that house blew up, although I did ask a passing stranger what time the next bus was.

And it never occurred to you that the passing stranger might not have been all that they seemed?

She is the the "Thora" a small vessel that used to run coal from the port around to Bedmannarch Bay up that part of the cob that widens out into a grassy square.  You know, where the fishermen park.

She would unload there and the coal would go via horse and cart out to Valley and surrounding countryside.

I can't recall the date 1935 - 1950's? but one fateful day the "Thora" made her last trip around Bedmannarch Bay and was scuttled on the beach by the site of the original Valley Foundry, I guess the blacksmith played a major part in the operation; as he would have had the tools and strength.

She was fully surveyed about 5 years ago by a team of scientists and there is a site somewhere that has all these details, and much more but usefully I've lost the url

The site wouldn't be one of these, would it, Thatguy?  (You might need some time to look through ... )

And it now appears that they don't intend to use the Rhosgoch site for accommodation - they intend to build far closer than that to the site

Presumably then Rhosgoch will be some sort of forward logistics dump for materials.

BUT people should also remember that when Land & Lakes bludgeoned the council Planning Officers into passing this, the s106 restrictions that were put in place were only applicable if the whole thing went ahead, not just part of it.  So Land & Lakes will now no longer build a new Nature Reserve, new Cricket Pitch, new Swimming Pool, new Football Pitch and new affordable housing for locals. They also are no longer obligated to donate to social care/schools/fire/hospital funds locally.  In addition,  they currently owe the Council 1.5M (and rising), are late paying it - by a year or so, and according to their accounts at Companies House are currently unable to repay even one percent of that.

I'm quite a left wing fellow - into civil rights and liberties etc etc  but I think it's about time people started to wake up a bit about what we are dealing with here and more importantly what liberties and rights we are going to have to sacrifice if we are to stop this.

This is something that the modern world hasn't experienced before.

This brand of islamic exrtremism is a death cult whose ultimate aim is to deliberately bring about Armageddon - the end of the world. They actually want to die and take as many people as possible with them and they actually want the world to end. They aren't interested in anything else and regard anyone who is as some sort of inferior thing not even worthy of contempt.

They don't care who they kill, how many they kill so long as they get the chance to die and move the world one step closer to armageddon.

There is only one way to deal with them - exterminate them wherever and whenever they appear. Otherwise they will try their hardest to martyr themselves with as many people as possible.

This isn't the IRA.  They aren't politically motivated (most other types of terrorist are).  They have just one aim - death and as a result it is impossible to negotiate with them (not that we should).

It would appear that this may be the first attack on the UK mainland by a terrorist who has actually been properly trained overseas.  Usually they are largely self-radicalised and isolated.  In this guys case he was born in the UK, appears to have been part of a group,  has been to both Syria and Libya (returning from Libya in the last week), was well educated and had received training.
This is an old report (nearly two months).  There is some element of 'mis-reporting' in that article.   There were no long-running discussions between Land & Lakes and Horizon concerning nuclear workers.

What there was in reality was Land & Lakes continually trying to get Horizon to negotiate with little success.   Horizon's position over Penrhos was made clear at the outset and has remained resolute from then to now - that they had no plans to house the workers there.

Horizon - via Conygar,  have aquired the old Rhosgoch site and intend to build their own camp there, which will be converted to council housing at the end of the build and gifted to the council as part of their 'legacy'.  In addition they tend to utilise B&Bs, private lets etc etc to supplement this in an area covering the whole island and the adjoining mainland as far as Conwy/Llandudno one way, Caernarfon the other,  in order to disperse the workforce as much as possible and prevent the over-loading of local services and infra-structure.

Since that article Land 7 Lakes have abandoned their initial plan and no longer intend to build on Cae Glas,  no longer intend to build the 300 4/5 bed etached houses on Kingsland and will reduce the size of the core complex on the Penrhos side.
