I understand that affirming is more common nowadays. I would affirm too if I went in the dock.

And there's me thinking you would insist on telling the court one of you puns. :-)

A cop gout out of his car and went to see what was going on, on his way back to the car I heard him say ' f@#Ģing tw@7 !'

I presume that this is a technical term frequently used in traffic policing circles ...

I travelled from Shropshire to Holyhead yesterday and decided to drive along the A5 as I thought it would be more sheltered than the coast road. Driving carefully as the road was greasy, covered in leaves, small branches and a couple of fallen trees by the roadside, it took a long time. By Tryfan there is a lake and a white sheet of water rose up and travelled along before forming into a twister about 20 to 30 foot tall, it was amazing!
Then the bridge was closed and it took about an hour queueing to get to Menai and for some reason the traffic just stopped.  A cop gout out of his car and went to see what was going on, on his way back to the car I heard him say ' f@#Ģing tw@7 !' Then the back road to llaingefni was closed so it meant a detour to the A55 to get to see my friend, that was out when I got there.
Today, the wind is still cold and blowing quite hard but nothing compared to yesterday.

That's something I suppose. I remember loss of power around T. Bay and Holyhead was almost a cert in bad weather back in the '70s.

I'm just wondering if my caravan is still in Caergybi or weather whether I need to go and collect it from Llanfwrog.

I have only once been "in the box".

It caused quite a stir when I asked if I could affirm rather than take the oath on the bible.

Very interesting...
