I must say that the same goes for me and "Lonesome Dove".

Mind you as far as I'm aware "Lonesome" has no outhouse related murder incidents.

In real life, as opposed to films, several high-born personages, including Godfrey the Hunchback and Wenceslaus III of Bohemia, apparently encountered problems of this nature ...

Obviously this raises more questions.  I have found the answers for you.

The menagerie was owned by William Batty born 1801 died 1868.  Of course the real question is...  Which local pub in Holyhead did the errant pachyderm frequent?

"You’d think it would be difficult to lose an elephant. But that is exactly what happened in Holyhead, Wales, when Batty’s menagerie was visiting the town.

One Wednesday evening, after the performance, the menagerie’s elephant was “safely lodged” in a stable close to the George hotel and left for the night.

When the keeper returned to the stable the following morning, however, he found “to his great astonishment”, that it had disappeared. A frantic search ensued, but there was no trace of the elephant. In the afternoon it was discovered “lying fast asleep in a wine cellar of the hotel”, surrounded by empty bottles of wine!"

I never knew that!  I'd love more details, but sadly that is all I can find.

Reading the BBC webpage I was amazed to read the following:

"Even elephants sometimes went missing, though they could usually be found in the vicinity of the nearest pub. In 1854 an elephant disappeared from Batty's menagerie in Holyhead and was gone for nearly 24 hours. It was eventually discovered in a hotel cellar, surrounded by empty wine bottles."

There are five in that batman series Reenie, number 5 is also issued twice, one with the serial starting DVD that's the sought after one.

The Batman car with the flames out the back also fired plastic rockets and had a blade come out of he front.

Meccano was good but you needed so much of it to make anything

The double glazing is just there to tantalise the cat that lives next door. I bet Wils doesn't even have a cat. He just likes to wind up the neighbourhood felines by placing abnormally large sachets of cat food where they can see them but not get at them!

I must forever mourn the fact that circumstances seem to have cruelly conspired to rob me of this lapidary cinematic gem ...

The Easter egg thread on smaller Yorkie bars reminded me of another annoying rip off. You go to the supermarket and buy a box of wine for the usual price only to discover later that the box only contains 2.25 litres (3 bottles) rather than the usual 3 litres (4 bottles) !  >:(

Ah! but you do get a free box.
