Llaingoch's Telly Bit And That
« on: Wednesday 12 March 2008, 1422 »
as World Champion telly watcher, I thought I'd delight viewers with things to watch and also do reviews of stuff I watched and that.
Other readers are most welcome to add their insightful views on programmes too.
Right, last night I watched LFC win at football, and it was dead good.
I recorded that Bionic Woman show with Sharon or someone from Eastenders in it.
it was also very good and you saw her in a tight top a lot whilst in the rain.
she plays Jamie Somerfield and has bionic legs and an arm and eye and ear.
in the olden days she didnt have a bionic eye, but Stone Cold Steve Austin did.
Tonight I recommend watching Rock Rivals with Ian Beale's ex wife in it, you know ... her from that Hotel Babylons.

You are just rubbin this in because some of us don't get all these Brit channels, are they on BBC 3 or 4 at all, cos in 3 weeks I'll have that yeah....Whayhaaaay!!

Lately I have been mostly watching McLeods Daughters. I may move to that Australia and lodge with Bob CB or Howie Parry - burronly if they have sheep farms and will teach me how to ride horses and fight snakes.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

Bionic Woman is on ITV2, which is like BBC2, only better.
anyway Reens, there will be no need for you to go to Austria, as my reviews will keep you up to date with all things telly-wise.

A question for the great tellly watcher that you are Llainy yea....

I remember Steve Austin being in some sort of rocket plane crash and they made bionics bits for what he lost yea

What reason was there to give the Bionic Woman her bionic bits?

while we have time let us do good

No Australia I said diddun I. Can you learn me how to wrestle cayotes and bbq possums? Myabe you should start your own reality TV show. Outback Jack Llainy? All the CL's would have to compete for your attenshuns.

What reason was there to give the Bionic Woman her bionic bits?

Steve Austin pashernately snogged her and broke her. So they put her back together, with spare parts from his pc.

in answer to Carny's excellent question.... they gave NEW Bionic Woman bionic bits because ANOTHER Bionic Woman crashed into her car cos it was being driven by her boyfriend, who is a bionics expert, in order to kill him, hense said doctor/boyfriend giving NEW Bionic Woman bionics.
good yeah ?

In answer to Reenie's thought invoking question , I would only do that kind of show if the script specifically called for it, and it was done in the best possible taste.
And on ITV2.

I'm sure it'd be dead good to be bionic. putting rollers in your hair would only take seconds, gor, your whole beauty regime would be much quicker and leave more time for going out. The grocery shop would be done in no-time.
You could decorate your whole house yourself without having to nick your husbands power tools and then put up with the moaning cos you left paint on them, or never put the screwdrivers back in the box and lost them or didn't realise that the sander needed a special sandpaper triangle thingy on it before you could actually sand...hypothetically speaking yeah.

Mind you, you'd have to do it all yourself and it'd be less time for Eastenders and Lost and Ghost Whisperer and that..nah, being bionic sounds like a drag.

it looks like being bionic nowadays is better than it was in the 70's, as the new bionic eye is dead good and zooms in and everything.
oh.... and this OTHER Bionic Woman, yeah... she's dead bad and is turning her whole self Bionic, but we don't know how yet.
and she had a big bionic fight with the new one from Eastenders , but it did not involve power sanders or hair rollers.

I hope this exciting new review thread will find time to deal with more than just bionic pethna.

Will you have time to review Big Brother House Hunting? Or even Celebrity Come Holby Road Show?

What will be  your policy regarding what is suitable viewing for children and the servants?

I think a five star system is good.

I assure you Tref, it will NOT be just about bionics and that.
I shall review celebrity dancing in the jungle, and even big brother, so that you don't have to watch it.

As for suitable viewing for children, I shall watch anything that reportedly has nudity / swearing / violence in it and give out warnings accordingly.

I would just like to say how enjoyable I am finding Llainy's telly thread.  It is a font of useful, informative things and that, and I for one am glad to see it back on our screens.

I would also like to say "Pelican."

Pelican.
Even now
My thought is clinging as to a lost learning
Slipped down out of the minds of men,
Labouring to bring her back into my soul.

A survey report in one of last weekend's Australian papers said the ABC's TV rating was getting ahead of the commercial channels in popularity as the ABC was showing more Aussie made programmes of sustance and less Yankie made crap.
Hwyl,Bob.
PS The paper did did not mention how many bored houswives contributed to the survey...........
