12 Chickens To a Good Home
« on: Thursday 27 October 2011, 0853 »
I will be moving house in a couple of weeks and unfortunetley wont be able to take my chickens with me. I have 12 hens and 1 cockrel and they are good layers. Except for the cock of course. :P

The only thing i ask is that you can pick them up!

If anyone is interested let me know via this topic.

Thanks

Cranky

Best of luck with the move. I've got a couple of chooks - they are cuties. I hope you find a home for yours soon.

No interest so . . . how did they taste?

They've been skinned and the feathers used to make a coat, after all they were described as good layers !

I think I'd rather end up in a curry than living in Llanerchymedd.

Didn't you know they sacrifice chickens in Llan.  They dance around the square (patch of concrete) naked smeared in chicken blood before going to the Bull for a chicken curry.  There's an old poem about Llan and is starts off like this:  "Huckie Chuckie Chicken from Lllanerchymedd, was a mean chicken plucker you can tell by flares."

I don't mean to wind you up cranky but they would have been safer with Basil Brush.  Boom Boom.
Hooray for Holyhead.
