I actually had a bag of crips as part of a packed lunch this week. They were from Aldi I think and although they were not bad, mthe experience was rather disappointing.

I don't know if it's just me but as I get older I'm finding crisps, or the flavouring on crisps too strong. I'm finding it off putting. I would like the little blue bags with different flavourings inside so I can adjust the amount of flavouring to suit my self.
Don't want much do I?

That's a super idea Shell.  Like the salt n shake in days of past.

Someone suggested Black Bean Sauce flavour the other day, mthe  proceeded to go through the Chinese menu of flavours, some sounded really nice and others didn't.

Someone at work was eating a bag of crips and the bloke opposite him asked what flavour they were.  The munchers held the bag up and the inquirer exclaimed, Beefy! They smell more, marmitey than beefy.

I didn't like to say that marmite is a yeast based product and is suitable for them strange non meat eating folk and is about as far away from beefy as you can get.

And I also thought, I have never had Beefy crips.

I've been buying Sunbites lately. They're a slightly healthier option to normal crisps. They're like biting on toasted cardboard but they're better than nothing. I just close my eyes and imagine they're proper crips.

Walkers recently brought back old flavours such as lamb and mint and cheese and bacon flavour. Possibly my 2 most favourite flavours. They came back for a month and that was that. Never to be seen again I suppose. Teasing a girl like that is wrong!

You're right Shell. Big firms like Walkers are only interested in the bottom line not in keeping minority customers happy.

You could try starting an on-line petition pethna.

According to wiki, nothing, but they were on about chips as in chippy chips and not the Mercian chips meaning crips

I work in the food industry at the moment and we have live infestations from time to time, and I am in the Quality dept. and have to spot them before the food goes into production. And one of the reps that came from another company said they had a severed mouses head in a packet of raisins, the mouse had been eating them and had a mouthful.  That company was getting used big time.
Aldi crips were taken off as a precaution, that's all. They would be ok to eat.

Did the mouse have to pay for the raisins it had eaten?

With it's life.  The bloke that comes around does pest control but we usually talk about what music we have bought or which gigs we have been to.  I will ask him what his bestest crips are next time he is in!

I had two Prignals and put them in my mouth like a duck bill type effect for comedy the other day, then when I was driving past the spar shop, I saw a teenager doing just the same! It's political correctness gone mad.
