I've already tried the "lightly sea-salted" ones ...but only because there were no Walkers Crinkle Cut ones on the shelves.

I was decidedly underwhelmed.

I had some poppadoms last night. Do they count?

Certainly not!

Poppadoms are made from gram flour -- exotic see and OK if you feel a bit adventurous.

Crisps are made from your common-or-garden spud.

But you can get potato flour.

So why couldn't you have potato flour poppadoms?

It would undermine a long standing and noble British tradition Jean and threaten the very foundations of culinary expertise.

I quote from your link:
"There are 2 ways to make potato flour from scratch
First of all you'll need potatoes..."

Well who would have thought it? :-)

Having a conversion about food yesterday, the topic 'what strange food cobos do you like that nobody else does' came up, which I will start another thread about.

One youthful man said that he loves nutella scooped onto ready salted crips. Mad yeah!

There are certainly some delicacies out there involving crips 'n' dips.

Just got to think of some now  :-\

Walkers Deli

These are beautiful and the local Tesco has just stopped stocking them  :'(

Previously I only ate Kettle crisps, but now they are nothing to me

This is a long shot, but! If Delia Smith got together with Smith's crips, they could have Deli-a-Smith's crips

Them's the ones that have the Angelsey Sea Salt flavour. I can't tell you the odd looks I got trying to take a pic of the package in our local supermakerket :)

We like the balsamic vinegar flavour.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

Why can't they have Salt Island Sea Salt flavour ones?

Yes! Those balsamic vinegar are the best crisps on the market.  As they are not available in Holyhead I have made a virtue of necessity and no longer eat crisps.

NEVER AGAIN.

It seems that it was October last year when I last had some crips. I had a bechdan, ham yeah, with my dad and he put some really crunchy crips on the plate.  He said that he can't eat any other type now.

I have given up crisps for Lent.

What is a Dracula's favourite potato based snack?

Ready salted crypts..

(The pun here being "crypts" sounds like crisps.)
Even now
My thought is clinging as to a lost learning
Slipped down out of the minds of men,
Labouring to bring her back into my soul.
