The photographs in the 'The Great Breakwater'  section are shocking and totally beyond the puny efforts that currently appear to be remedial action being taken.

Any furthe developments on this gang?

I'm on their email list but have heard nothing for yonks.

I'd hate to visit HH and find the plan has gone through and there is nothing left of the lower prom -- to say nothing of the Newry beaches.

Certainly no work has been started. I had a look at their website a couple of weeks ago but it was exactly the same as it was 2 years ago.

Stena has just committed to buy 4 new build ferries so their other interests may (hopefully) be taking a back seat.
Mum! Dad! Wheres my breakfast gone? And who's that blonde tart in my bed?

No anonymous foreign potentates with large wads of cash in their offshore accounts in the offing then?

The application by the Save Newry group for village green status to be granted ground everything to a halt.

Legal opinion was published a couple of days ago and the findings were that Stena/Conygar hadn't made a strong enough case why it shouldn't be granted status and likewise the Save Newry group hadn't made a strong enough case as to why it should be granted status.   Both sides were to re-visit their submissions and start again.

Probably be another year at least before that's decided one way or another and nothing can proceed until it is.

Talk about kicking it into the long grass.

Sounds to me like a cop-out on behalf of whoever prepared the judgement -- a cop-out in favour of the status quo  :-)

Thanks for the info.
