Holyhead and the Great War

Some of you may wish to know that this old book has just been republished to mark the Centenial of the outbreak of hostilities.

I have noted this information from Cambria 49's Sealink-Holyhead Site.

A book recording Holyhead's World War I effort has been republished almost 100 years since it was first released.

Holyhead and the Great War by Robert Edward Roberts is a fascinating record of the effort made by the town to support the war.

It contains the names and details of all from Holyhead who served and all who received awards for bravery and service. There is also a Roll of Honour of those who sadly lost their lives.

Holyhead and the Great War can be purchased at Holyhead Maritime Museum shop, or by email.

Mum! Dad! Wheres my breakfast gone? And who's that blonde tart in my bed?
