Did I tell you all about the time I fell over a dustbin in the dark?
I was wearing a tight dress which didn't allow much movement, fell in such a way that I was rolling on the bin trying to balance myself. I finally fell off and landed on some slugs.
Oh what fun.

I'm sure that with a bit of practice you could turn that into a very successful stage turn Shell.

The slugs might need careful handling though -- to avoid acccusations of cruelty to animals or something.

There'd be no chance for complaint. Anything I land on doesn't survive to tell the tale  :D

I have a collection of vinyl records, tapes and CDs.  I love my records and still buy then now.  There have been gaps in the collection from when I haven't had much money, such as when I was studying or had RB.  Then, they became really hard to find and record shops only stocked CDs.  Now, records are popular again and groups (or their companies) are printing them again.

A couple I bought recently have both been 7" singles.  Blur did a limited edition and that was selling on ebay later that day for 30 if you wanted to make a quick profit. The other is a white label limited edition by The Charlatans.

I have quite a few signed by the bands and artists and some are unopened.  One is in a cloth bag, completely sewn up in camouflage material.  The song is Uniform by The Inspiral Carpets.

Good yeah

The thing withvinyl records is that the covers are themselves works of art which you can admire even when the record isn't playing.

You can't do that with a CD "jewel case".

I agree with you %100 Tref.  I have bought some records just because of the sleeve artwork.  And as an added bonus, I read all of the small print and who has engineered and mixed the tracks too.  A recent 10" I bought has been mixed by a local lad.  He used to be in bands, he now makes music, I heard some on Radio Cymru a few months ago.

Whilst out walking today I saw a bottle of lucozade with the lid on and there was writing on it. It stated, win an escort xr3i. So I now have that in the collection just for the different lid really.

I went out with my metal detector recently and got about 15 in modern coins, everything from a penny, loads of twos, a couple of twenties, a fifty and a bunch of squids.

I also dug up amongst some junk, two Victorian pennies, the oldest one being 118 years, a Georgie half crown from 1947 (it's the 1946 and earlier ones that are collectible) a few of his dad's pennies and our queens half pennies, an big old one and a wee not as old one.

It said on her birthday bash the other day that she doesn't own all the swans, only a mute swan or something

Is there a Royal Flunkey who makes sure that these swans remain mute and don't start answering back?

I have just started collecting Anglesey pennies and half pennies.

I have one 1787 penny and one 1788 halfpenny in my collection so far.  I am watching a glass topped display box on eBay that has 12 sections in it.  There are four years of official issues for the coins, so that's 8 of the boxes filled.  I could put forgeries or "mules" in the remaining four boxes to complete the collection.

Hmmm.
