Easter Eggs
« on: Friday 10 March 2017, 1105 »
Another trip down memory lane....

Back in the day when I was a cub, there wasn't quite the selection of egg shaped confectionary we have on the supermarket shelves today. From memory, there was only the option of Cadburys buttons, or Rowntrees, either Smarties or Jellytots.

As a consequence, rather than litter the windows with two or three of each of the many variants they produce today, I recall vast walls of the three aforementioned products aligning the shop displays. These massive frontages, either bricked together in a continuos elevation or soaring up in amazing pyramids made it very special indeed. We would anticipate for weeks which of them we would eventually receive. Nowdays, the small but many collections on display, intertwined with the latest offers on pepsi, pringles, various other standard items of confectionary and a few bunches of flowers, The season doesn't seem the same anymore.

Of course, when we eventually opened our packages we would find the foil paper would crush easily under our fingers and the chocolate, having melted from the past few weeks under the sun through the window, was lying in a solid block at the bottom.

So, what's your favorite Easter Egg, and why?
It's just the bear necessities of life!

I'm afraid I'm a bit past the age of Easter eggs, Nooks :(   Also, I think it's rather an expensive way of selling chocolate ...  You might just as well buy a box of Black Magic, and be done with it.  (If you scroll down the page, you'll see a link to "how the Queen’s Easter egg is made.")

Bet HM doesn't make do with Black Magic ...

Then you could melt any unwanted Easter eggs, and drink hot chocolate from the mug ...

The mugs are a lot smaller nowadays, I've noticed. I think it's because cows are 20% smaller too - don't believe me? Ask Donald Trump:

Me: Are cows 20% smaller nowadays?
Donald Trump: Yes they are. They truly are.

Someone said in a group conversation the other day that there are easter eggs in the films he had seen, I think they were Pixar and or Disney ones.  I asked are there easter eggs and you have to spot them? He explained that its not that, but for instance, let's say its the new Beauty and the beast film, that snowman Olaf may appear in it in the background. Who knew they were called easter eggs eh, what a funny world.

I found an Easter Egg in Police Academy 19, but I thought it was consumer terrorism and I called the police.

Funnily enough, one of them who attended the call did annoying voice things with his voice, and another one was naked and had his hands stuck to his head with glue.

They were both vastly funnier than  Police Academy 19.

What about Rocky 3297?

I actually liked that one, until the bit where Rambo says, "I ain't getting in no plane, crazy fool" then it turns out he was dead all along, then sees the Statue of Liberty all broken on a beach and then says, "I ain't getting in no plane, crazy fool" with a duck and a goose, kissing.

I could really murder a cadbury's cream egg now.
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

No such thing, dol.  It's creme egg.  Anyway is that suitable for an EASTER egg thread? Talk of murder, and non-easter eggs?

Yeah you heard, poached.

If it had been poached by a poacher, you could rescue it ...

And then you could murder it ...

She alblumin isn't!!

And yeah...and....I would totally put you up against the wall and creme egg you.

I realise that sentence might be misconstrued by the more ..um...creative amongst us. I actually mean in a "stoning" way. Instead of stones tho, I'd use creme eggs cos I'm not that sly.

State on you, yeah.

You couldn't even poach a murdered egg. Or egg a poached murderer. Or peg a moached urderer.

As I've done many times on this forum, I snap my fingers in disregard in your witchy face like so.

PS what is your house number? We will come and see you next week (but we can only stay until Easter)

It's a terrible waste of Creme Eggs Reens, and the cost!  :o Real eggs are much cheaper and would leave a better effect.
