There's a gondola end in Tesco for children that has pick and mix type sweets in stacked buckets, near the tills.  It really doesn't compare to a penny twist of sweets wrapped up in paper cone from Mrs Earls.

All the romance and mystery has gone from the world.

Tour the refurbished Market Hall Friday December 7th.

If you’d like a place on one of the four guided tours, please contact Isle of Anglesey County Council’s Heritage Regeneration Team at markethall@anglesey.gov.uk or on 01248 752465.

Holyhead's Mayor Cllr. Keith Thomas said:
Quote
"The re-opening of the Market Hall will preserve a piece of the town's history.  There is a great need to keep the building looking presentable as it contains such great history.  The project will safeguard a historic building for the future and brings the library into the modern era too with the computers being set-up there. It should also attract more businesses to the area.

We, as a town, are really looking forward to the Market Hall coming back into use and it's a welcome investment in my opinion.

Cllr. Carwyn Jones said:
Quote
"It will provide a new home for Holyhead Library and the Island’s local history collections; provide exhibitions interpreting Holyhead's story with opportunities for new spaces for learning, training, community activity space and a coffee shop.”

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the hall being used for now? Is it a market, or a library - or something else? (serious question).
Mum! Dad! Wheres my breakfast gone? And who's that blonde tart in my bed?

The official line appears to be that it's in the process of being transformed into:

an impressive new library, information and enterprise hub ...
