The minute the Appeal went in,  IoACC were on a loser.   it is extraordinarily rare for a local authority to win such Appeals - and even in the unlikely event they do win, they just face it being escalated even higher at an even greater cost.

This will cost IoACC a not insignificant amount of money which in turn will have to be cut from other hard-pressed budgets.

Do RSPB actually own the area around South Stack?

I think they own the South Stack Café - and presumably therein the car park. There is another car park further down opposite the Hut Circles. This has a sign outside "RSPB - Ellins Tower", so presumably they have control of that as well.
Mum! Dad! Wheres my breakfast gone? And who's that blonde tart in my bed?

Sounds like a take-over bid to me :-)

Well the council could do well collecting the business rates - except that its a charity!

Wonder how they stand with Public Liability Insurance regarding people falling over the cliffs?

All survivors can sue.

All survivors can sue.

...provided the cliff edge remains undamaged that is.

I noticed tonight, whilst having a scout around the area on Google Earth, that The Range car park now has a label on it "RSPB The Range". Do they now own that as well?

(I mean the headland, not the chain store).
