Beth ywr digwyddiad? Archwiliwch safleoedd archaeolegol lleol yn rhithiol ac ar y ddaear. Sgan 3D or dirwedd syn cael ei wneud o awyren yw lidar. Dysgwch am lidar a sut iw ddefnyddio i adnabod nodweddion archaeoleg. Treulir y bore dan do gyda chyfrifiaduron. Treulir y pnawn yn yr awyr agored yn ymweld r safleoedd a adnabuwyd. Darperir yr hyfforddiant gan arbenigwraig trwy gyfrwng y Saesneg; bydd archeolegwyr syn siarad Cymraeg yn bresennol drwyr dydd.

Lidar in the Landscape Archaeology Training Day

When? Saturday 19 January 2019

Venue. Morning - Neuadd Ogwen, Bethesda; Afternoon field visit, Anafon Valley, Abergwyngregyn (transport provided)

What is the event? Explore local archaeological sites virtually and on the ground. Lidar is a 3D scan of the landscape taken from a plane. Learn about lidar and how to use it to identify archaeology. The morning is indoors with computers. Then get outdoors to visit these sites in the afternoon. Training provided by lidar specialist through medium of English with Welsh speaking archaeologists on hand.

No previous knowledge needed; all welcome. Suitable for 14+ but under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
